What is the NEW Early Stage East®!
Since its founding thirteen years ago, Early Stage East® has been known to deliver the best, most forward thinking venture programs in the industry. When ESE hosted its first event in 1998, the internet was emerging as a force, GOOGLE was just beginning, Facebook did not exist, Blackberry was coming into vogue, Social Media was a term not to be used for another 8 years and the game changing IPhone and IPAD were a decade away. We were still two years away from the height of the internet bubble and subsequent crash, unemployment was half the rate it is today and Dow 30,000 was a plausible thought!
How the world has changed in this short period. And now so has Early Stage East. After 13 years of memorable events and programs which have set the standard for the industry, after becoming the first venture program to adopt the bootcamp venture training style for its companies, and after hosting our programs at some of the most innovative settings in the Mid-Atlantic region it was time to put Early Stage East into the body shop for a complete rebuild.
New Team! New Vision! New Impact! A New ESE!
We have brought together a New Team. Please welcome Marc C. Mathis and Erik D. Seel who have been volunteering and assisting us for the past five years and now will be joining us as part of the Management Team. Entrepreneurs in their own right, both Marc and Erik came to Early Stage East to learn and become immersed in the venture community. For the last five years they have attended and contributed to every conference we have held.
We scrapped our old programs and created some of the best new program designs around incorporating the best of our history with the new tools and philosophies of Social Media!
Our first programs launched fall of 2011 were the CLUBPITCH™ series of events which were held in Philadelphia and Baltimore. CLUBPITCH™ is a new concept where we bring together the best of the past events with our education and panel sessions and couple that with the newest and most effective tools for raising capital. Our new format allows more entrepreneurs to drive through the process allows more exposure to the investors in the same time frame. This brought a greater level of success to all involved including exposure to the marketplace. The programs are more impactful, more fun and more memorable.
In Spring 2012, we launch GLOSO™, the Global Social Media Investment Summit, where we have partnered with other cutting edge venture programs around the country to bring the first event of its kind to the East Coast. Currently scheduled for Philadelphia, a city known throughout the globe for revolution, independence and innovation , we anticipate over 500 select individuals converging from around the world to bring new impact and drive the technological revolution that is changing our lives.
And don’t forget the we are co-hosts and partners with our sister event FASHINVEST® (www.fashinvest.com) where we have brought this revolution to the branded goods, apparel, fashion and RELATED TECHNOLOGIES sector. Last year we held our second capital conference at the world famous Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC on December 7, 2011.
